The body<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">was black and white, the handle<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">an abstract head, white with the colorful<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">beak that gives the bird a clown-like look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It has a good heft to it when in my hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It went in the cupboard with my other bird cups:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">American Goldfinch, Eastern Bluebird.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It reminds me of my birding<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">trips to Alaska and Maine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I don\u2019t remember how but the handle<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">fell off the body, the dog must have knocked it off.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was lucky, it fell into 2 pieces, the body<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">was not damaged. There was hope for repair.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The break was in the neck of the puffin.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gorilla glue to the rescue. I managed to hold<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">the pieces together. You wouldn\u2019t know the break<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">was there. The true test: will the mended pieces<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">hold when the mug was filled with coffee?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I don\u2019t let anyone else use it for fear<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">of it breaking again.
