{"id":508,"date":"2026-10-14T15:27:18","date_gmt":"2026-10-14T15:27:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecatbirdsang.com\/www\/?p=508"},"modified":"2026-10-14T15:27:18","modified_gmt":"2026-10-14T15:27:18","slug":"oh-to-wash-off-this-pain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecatbirdsang.com\/www\/oh-to-wash-off-this-pain\/","title":{"rendered":"Oh To Wash Off This Pain"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a>Oh To Wash Off This Pain<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Takes awhile to get into the shower. &nbsp;I slip in cautiously,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">use the grab bar, pull the bath bench in behind me.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the hand-held shower, I spritz water over me,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">sit on the bench.&nbsp; Low back pain stabs me whether I sit or stand. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I let the water flood my back, pray to the Lords of the Quadratus muscles<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">that hot water will erase this pain. Easing the spray over my shoulders,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;the tension lessens. I whisper <em>move on down<\/em>. But today, as in every day &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">the Lords do not bless me.
