There ain\u2019t no end&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Emmylou Harris&nbsp; Red Dirt Girl<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m not supposed to use too much energy<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>between 2 and 8 pm.&nbsp; Don\u2019t use the washer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>or dryer when I can wash and dry<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>another day.&nbsp; No worries here,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I don\u2019t have enough energy to get off<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>the couch much less do laundry.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These days; my plug is pulled\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>not even the dog can lighten my mood.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I spiral down; grab but miss pleasant thoughts<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>of buddleia blooming purple by the side of the house,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>fireflies drifting upwards in the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I ride these days out but it takes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>longer to halt my drop.&nbsp; Slowly, I emerge<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>from the darkness to admire drifting<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>scent of flowers, tiny spots of rising light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
