{"id":402,"date":"2020-12-23T15:01:50","date_gmt":"2020-12-23T15:01:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecatbirdsang.com\/?p=402"},"modified":"2020-12-23T15:01:50","modified_gmt":"2020-12-23T15:01:50","slug":"54-chevy-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecatbirdsang.com\/www\/54-chevy-2\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8217;54 Chevy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a>\u201954 Chevy<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was faded blue with a white top.&nbsp; What I remember most are trips<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>out West taken most every summer.&nbsp; That car took us to Yellowstone,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Grand Tetons, Bryce\u2019s Canyon, Wind Rivers and to New England<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>for the Presidential Range in New Hampshire.&nbsp; Dad built storage boxes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>to fit in the back to carry all our camping gear: tent, sleeping bags, utensils.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My brother and I sat in the back doing the usual brother\/sister stuff:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMom, he\u2019s on my side of the seat!\u201d and \u201cWhen will we get there?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dad took care of that car: changed the oil, checked the timing,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>gapped the new spark plugs.&nbsp; We had to get a new car for our new hobby:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>horses.
