Gone the\nenergy for weeding and planting in the yard all day<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gone the\nability to carry 50 pounds of sunflower seed<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gone the\ntaut skin on my arms <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Walking\nwithout rest, reduced to carrying a stool <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gone is the\neasing into the saddle and settling onto the horse<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gone too is\nthe horse<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shrunk with\nage, I can no longer reach the top cabinets <\/p>\n\n\n\n
stretch to\nreach the clothesline<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gone the\nweekly letters in the mailbox <\/p>\n\n\n\n
and the\ngnarled hand that wrote them<\/p>\n\n\n\n
