Cuts and balances a twig,<br \/>\nmaneuvers it to the crotch of sycamore.<br \/>\nTakes a break, inspects a hole in dead snag,<br \/>\nleaps to maple only to disappear.<\/p>\n<p>Wind tears through greening tulip poplar,<br \/>\nrips tender leaf from branch.<br \/>\nWorm dries in sun, rain-driven<br \/>\nfrom soil.
