Yesterday<br \/>\nhe came twice. Maybe he needed a part.<\/p>\n<p>He kneels by the metal lungs<br \/>\nof the heat pump, doesn&#8217;t disturb<br \/>\nthe wood thrush singing its E-OH-LAY. Or the wrens<br \/>\nferrying insects to the nest in the dryer vent.<\/p>\n<p>Lifting the panel, he kneels<br \/>\nin front, an altar of temperature.<br \/>\nI can&#8217;t see what he is doing,<br \/>\nspring leaves block my view.<\/p>\n<p>He has removed the pump&#8217;s cover.<br \/>\nIt is sitting in the drive. I didn&#8217;t see him<br \/>\nbring a new one, besides he is alone.<br \/>\nA new one is too heavy for one to carry.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s 2 pm, he is packing up.
